Pink is often associated with cool colors. The Summer palettes can rock all sorts of dusty, feminine shades while the Winter palettes have access to beauties such as fuchsia and magenta. Images of bubble gum and the Barbie Dolls often come to mind when thinking of the color. But us warm seasons have pinks too! Let’s look at four pinks that us autumn softies can wear beautifully!
Rose
Imagine pink delicately mixed with brown and red. That’s our rose pink. It’s such a cozy, pretty color and pairs really well with several other colors from our palette.
Coral Pink
Coral pink for the soft autumn palette is a fun mix. It’s got that playful pop of pink with a small hint of orange. It’s not too bright or flashy and is a nice change from traditional pinks. See it here next to my rose pink shirt. The coral pink is lighter and has that gentle orange influence.
Mauve
This color can get really purple and cool-toned in a hurry, so our mauve has to be just perfect. Think of it as a brown mauve. It’s slightly grayed to bring down the intensity but still has earthy qualities to it. See it here next to my rose pink shirt. These mauves are the softest of the pinks we’ve looked at so far and have an obvious muted feel.
Taupe Pink
This color may be the most controversial of all, and I’d say this shade probably isn’t for everyone. It’s an extremely gray version of mauve, and it definitely leans cool. Perhaps too cool to be considered truly a soft autumn color. However, there’s something about colors in the taupe family that work well for me. I can’t quite put my finger on why! I get compliments almost every time I wear this color. If you don’t want to commit to a girly pink, try this one out!
