I’ve been seeing ads for Pact all over social media recently. Their selection of soft autumn colors and the earthy feel to their clothing sucked me right in! As usual, I tried a mix of casual clothes and dresses in as many colors as I could. Here’s what I got:
This dress is in the color “Mahogany Stripe”, and it’s perfectly soft autumn…slightly red, slightly brown and beautifully muted! The stripes give it a bit of interest, and the feel of the linen-blend fabric is so wonderfully light and airy. I have on a size XS here, and it fit but was a little tight when I sat down. I think Small would be the best size, but I am wondering if this specific dress would be a little loose in the chest if I sized up. Hmm…decisions, decisions! The cool thing about Pact is that they offer their colors and patterns in several different styles.
Love at first sight. Yes, that’s how I’d describe this dress and color. My original color analysis listed faded aqua as one of my knockout colors, and I’ve been searching for the “just right” shade ever since. This is it! I love the style of this dress and appreciate the fact that the straps are wide enough to cover bra straps. I’m in an XS here but have decided to exchange it for S to give more room in the bust.
This airy cotton tank dress is a great soft autumn navy color. However, the cut of it isn’t right for my body shape. I sized up to a M because the reviews said it ran small. The hips fit how I’d like, but the bust is way too big. This one is going back just because of the fit.
This tank/shorts set is in beautiful soft autumn shade “Deep Taupe”. This fabric is the same as the first two dresses I tried, and it’s perfect for summer. This tank has a tulip hem in the back, which means the back is pretty much hanging open! It gives too little coverage for my taste. A lace bralette would look really cute underneath, but I’ve decided to return the set. I’m in a size S here, and I’d say it runs true to size.
This cotton tank is in the color “Wedgewood Heather”, and it’s just so-so. The color is better suited for the summer palette, and the fit was off (I’m wearing S, and the bust is too large for me). I couldn’t justify keeping this one, so back it goes.
The last item is a cotton crewneck tank in the color “Stucco Heather”. Online, it looked like the color would be a nice light taupe, but as you can see in the photo here, it clashes horribly with the Deep Taupe shorts. Plus, the cut of the shirt was strange…see how it gapes at the armpits? Bad color and fit landed this one in the return pile as well.
An honorable mention goes to this color/pattern named “Shadow Floral Spruce”. After I posted this try-on over on Instagram, a very sweet follower reached out to say that she owns an item in this color and loves it! Perhaps leaning a bit into the summer palette but still an awesome color for us soft autumns.
Overall, I’m impressed! The linen items were fantastic, and I’m tempted to go back to try out some of the other dresses. Pact offers free shipping over $150 and free Happy Returns. If you’re a new customer, use my referral link to save 15% on your first purchase here: Save 15% at Pact
